Cape Forchu Museum

The upstairs of the historic lightkeeper’s residence building, built-in 1912, has been converted into a small but very informative museum. Artifacts related to Cape Forchu and Yarmouth Harbour are on loan from the Yarmouth County Museum, along with interesting photographs and descriptive stories. As you browse through the relics, imagine yourself living as a lightkeeper or sea captain in a bygone era…

Admission to the museum is free. Regretfully, due to the nature of the historic building, the museum is up a full flight of stairs and is not handicapped accessible.
